Fuscherkarkopf NW-ridge [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Fuscherkarkopf NW-ridge
Looking down the Fuscherkarkopf NW-ridge from the NW summit (this picture was taken at the height of app. 3.250 m). Until here it is ridge scrambling and rock climbing with some sections reaching UIAA II, sometimes quite exposed.
Deep down you can see the glacier "Wasserfallwinkelkees", down to the right is the Fuscherkar-notch. If you enlarge the picture you can even see the Oberwalder hut in the upper left corner.

At the NW-summit the NW-ridge meets the SW-ridge. From here you continue - easy but sharp and exposed - along the final part of the NW-ridge to the summit (3.331 m), which you reach within app. 20 minutes.
