Roe Deer (Capreolus capreolus) is the smallest species of deer native to Europe. It weights from 18 to 29 kg. Its summer coat is rich brown in colour. In winter the fur is thick and long and it has gray or grayish brown color with a white rump patch. Unlike other species of deer the Roe is mostly a solitary animal. They live either alone, or in small groups made up of a female and her young. Only males of this species have antlers.

Voted 10/10 | The Polish landscape is so beautiful; reminds me of the flora & fauna of the western U.S. In Arizona - the Coues Whitetail roams the sunny highlands of central Arizona. It shares it's territory with the much larger Mule deer. Higher up, the Black bear & Mountain lion PREY on the deer.The FOOD CHAIN of life!
