...area has a unique setting. Surrounded on both sides by big broad agricultural valleys, Oxford Peak is like an island. This view shows the south summit (second from right) but not the north summit (hidden behind the south summit). Even though an ATV road slices and dices the landscape, the
beauty of the area is still evident. Cattle range over most of the slopes during the summer season which detracts from the natural setting as one can imagine elk and proghorn dominating the area otherwise. This view is facing north.
