The crux of the NW Arete
Bob Burd climbs the crux knife-edge ridge. The exposure is significant and the holds are marginal. A short rope slung around a few big blocks can aid the section. Note the retrieved slings on Bob's right hand, and the knots on the climbing rope. The route goes free with good footwork on sloping edges.
