Parinacota (6330m) + Pomerape (6282m)
On the way from La Paz (Bolivia) to Arica (Chile), by the border, are located the twin brother Volcanoes (Payachatas in local Aymara language) :
Parinacota (6330m) and Pomerape (6282m).

And llamas are enjoying the landscape !

This part of the Andes is replete with volcanoes that surpass in altitude mountains that are technically far more difficult to climb.

Nice pair of Volcanoes you got there! So that's not South Sister and Mt. Bachelor, eh? Kinda looks like Oregon except for the elevations would be closer if that were feet rather than meters. Thanks for sharing.

Nyle WaltonAutocarril?

You must have taken this picture from the train that runs from La Paz to Arica. I took the ride way back in 1977 and was cheated from any daytime photography when the autocarril broke down and waited until after dark for a replacement to reach it from La Paz.

Actually we did the trip by bus. I'm not sure whether the train is still operating.
Thanks for looking and feel free to vote ;o)
