I don't know above which other town in the world mountain dominates the way Biokovo does above Makarska, in a way that is at same time fascinating and almost threatening. When you walk through the town streets it is amazing how its mighty wall constantly peaks from high above, no matter how tall buildings are around you and there is this strange sensation how it all might crash down on you and Makarska.
