Looking ESE at Mt. Chaval from the ridge below Pk 6356 on May 26, 2003. Our route from where this photo was taken was to the low point in the ridge at bottom right then down to the basin below (in the vicinity of that small snow slough visible at right). From the basin--a basin that would make for a nice ski descent--we simply continued on until we got to the the base of the peak. There were some ups and downs along the way but nothing serious.
