| The Ice Tower | [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ] |
Oregon's most rugged and dramatic peak, Three Fingered Jack (no kidding, that's really the name), clears following a mid-winter storm that I waited out for 3 days to capture this image. I felt the B&W rendition with a little cool toning best handled the contrasts and represented the frigid scene.

Voted 10/10 | calm one second, playing with snowplumes the next one. Gotta wonder how it would have felt on the color version, too. | | Posted Aug 27, 2007 2:11 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Once again, you have made an excellent shot that is completely unrealistic. | | Posted Sep 5, 2007 11:00 am |

Voted 10/10 | Such clarity in the foreground aswell as the background. How on earth do you do it? what is the aperture in this photo? It seems to me when I use a large f stop I dont have any point in such clarity as the snow in the foreground here. Nice work | | Posted Aug 19, 2008 1:36 am |
