The Northwest Route (see Phil Fortier's Trip Report) comes up to the high saddle on its right shoulder then contours around in a long arc (avoiding the cliffbands as it goes) to the summit. The prominent peak in the mid-ground is Mt. Tommy Thompson (6,780 ft). On the horizon are Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan, and Mt. Triumph (barely).
