Monte Zermula north face, seen from the ascent on Hochwipfel. We are standing just on the border between Italy and Austria. The popular Zermula ferrata ascends on top from the basin on the left side of picture. Where the shadow lies over the snow, we go up until the path enters the rocky wall. We climb up, on this picture seen as towards the right, then the ferrata crosses the ravine (a tiny snow line) and continues over the rocks straight up. June 2007.
