Toughest section of Gouter route towards Mont Blanc (4808m) between Tete Rousse (3167m) and Gouter (3817m) refuges is very steep. Looking down on plateau where is Tete Rousse refuge from last 20mins of climb below Gouter refuge. Tiny black dots on the track deep below are climbers. Cloud obscures Chamonix valley. August 2002.
