Looking south from above the north shore of Willow Lake to Kit Carson Mountain, one of Colorado's grandst fourteeners. Two trails through this stretch get you to the high ground above the lake (on the left above the gorgeous waterfall). A lower trail goes through willows. A more desirable trail from which this photo was taken, crosses some stable talus slopes and avoids the willow bashing.
