Kit Carson West Couloir [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Kit Carson West Couloir
SP member Aaron Johnson ascends steep, solid and "clean" rock in Kit Carson Peak's western couloir alternate ascent/descent route. This is NOT the standard couloir route, which is the next gully to the east. It is shallower and harbors more loose material, and is mostly used by climbers coming from the South Colony Lakes approach. This western couloir is steeper and could be considered more exposed for some folks.
