..Luna Peak. The Chopping Block, located to the south, behind both Challenger and the Southern Picketts, is not visible from this vantage point. The prominent center-right peak behind Easy Ridge is Mount Blum. Very nice photos.

of the North Cascades. My trips were almost always in mid-September or later, and the flies were never a major problem--unless they were so bad I've blocked it from memory! Most flying insects disappear after the first hard autumn frost.
