Pinnacle on McClellan Mountain [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Pinnacle on McClellan Mountain
This pinnacle is very prominent from the SW ridge on McClellan. It looks (and is) rather rotten and looks like a nasty climb from many perspectives. Some minor scrambling gets you to the base (location of this photo), and then you will find reasonably safe Class 3 scrambling to the top. It's a small summit and worth visiting; this area of the Front Range is not stocked with many decent scrambling routes-- gentle peaks and bad rock mostly preclude it.
