The standard view of Crater Mountain from North Cascades Highway in Granite Creek Valley about 8 miles to the southeast. Lots of people have seen this view but probably few have stopped to snap a photo. Sept. 21, 1997.

Hasn't voted | Thanks for posting this pic. I needed a good "tourist view" of the mountain. I want to use it as the title pic.
Can't seem to figure out how though. Any suggestions? | | Posted May 7, 2004 10:59 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. Definitely the tourist's view from the highway. There is even a sign that says "Crater Mountain" with an arrow pointing at about the position this photo was taken.
If you're talking about the creation of a pic at the top right corner of a mountain page, then you have to do the following:
1. Get the photo ID number. Can get this by simply hovering the mouse over the picture or right-clicking on the picture then selecting properties (ID is in URL). The ID is also embedded in the URL at the top of this page (in the Address bar). In the case of the above picture, the # is 62769
2. Go to the Crater Mountain page and go into edit mode
3. At the Signature Photo box (seven or eight lines down from the top), enter in the Photo ID number in question then exit edit mode.
Simple as that. Of course, it hasn't been working right lately (see my Big Four page), but that's the process, anyway. | | Posted May 7, 2004 2:27 pm |
