The south slope and face of...
The south slope and face of Crater Mountain on Sept. 21, 1997. The trail goes up the ridge out of frame to the left. Eventually it comes to a corner near where the mountain steepens. A tortuous Class 3 path then continues to the summit around the corner on the West Face.
