Capitol Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Capitol Peak
View in Large Format

A view of both lakes, Capitol Lake and upper Pierre Lake. It's strange to think that 99.9% of Capitol's summit attempts start at Capitol Lake. These lakes are so close but divided by this rudge running northeast from Capitol.

You can really tell the elevation difference between the two basins with this wonderful photo, which depicts the climbing conditions to expect on this often travelled route. Good view of Daly and Clark as well. Nicely done.
