This was the first image I took of the sunrise sequence on a super long exposure using velvia. The saturation of color comes from such a technique, used in conjunction with a small aperture and push processing. Many people who have seen this image accused me wrongly of having used a filter. I learnt these methods from Galen Rowells' books, after having read each of them about a dozen times.
