Kings Peak North Ridge from Anderson Pass [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Kings Peak North Ridge from Anderson Pass
We were feeling pretty good as we hit Anderson Pass, which is near where this picture was taken. Especially as we started ascending the final 900 vertical feet to the summit the trail dips east of the ridge crest and hides you from the relentless wind gusts.

"There's a land where the mountains are nameless, And the rivers all run god knows where; There are lives that are erring and aimless, And deaths that just hang by a hair; There are hardships that nobody reckons; There are valleys unpeopled and still; There's a land-oh it beckons and beckons, And I want to go back and I will."   --Robert Service
