Small Tortoiseshell
Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) is a common butterfly in the Bieszczady Mountains and in the Low Beskid. You will see it near mountain paths and in the glades. This butterfly is most active from March to October and in winter it hibernates in caves.
The photo was taken along the trail leading to the top of Mount Wielka Rawka in the Bieszczady Mountains.

Voted 10/10

I love the contrast between the beautiful colors of the butterfly and the greyish soil.
