The lake (lake of Wildenstein) you can see below on the photo is now very much bigger (a dam was built in the sixties). The mountains you can see in the back are Ballon d'Alsace, Ballon de Servance and Drumonts.

Thanks Jean-Louis. Since I was only 9 months I missed the trip to the Vosges and Colmar. I stayed in Chateau-Thierry with Anne-Marie and Madame Martin whilst my folks toured Alsace. I'll correct the caption.
