This pic is NOT from the base of the climb. It is from below the big ledge, at the foot of the main buttress. You can see the pine that is the top of the route and the 5.7 crack over at the left of the photo. The crack is actually longer than it looks here. From here go left until you get to the big ledge and then come back right on the ledge to the base of the crack. You can see a climber in the top of this photo, he is on the first pitch of The Nose. You can either walk up 4th class to the pine or climb Pine Line to get to the start of The Nose.
