Voyage of the Virgin
This river is a work-a-holic! On a typical day, it carries 5,000 tons of rock fragments downriver; effectively creating Zion Canyon as we see it today! In the background is 5,790-foot high Angels Landing. (PLEASE CLIMB IT BEFORE IT TURNS TO SAND!)

tanya, when my wife & I were visiting WEEPING ROCK, we saw some climbers on Angels Landing.
Why is that one so POPULAR? Is it kind of
like PARIA CANYON & BUCKSKIN MOUNTAIN are
considered to be popular to canyoneers???

I like some of the more "OUT-OF-THE-WAY" places myself. How 'bout you? Take care.

My hiking partner, Bo, is a climber and he was going to drag me up that one because I really wanted too... but that was years ago and I am getting far too old to [[learn]] to climb now, but he told me something like it's popular because it's so visible and in the main canyon in Zion. He like you likes more remote places.

I like both... different moods, different stuff, but I like most hikes and canyons.

madeintahoe! Where have you been, out
chopping wood? Yes, I'm a firm believer
in warmth and cheery landscapes. There's
a large amount of positive energy in
Zion National Park. Best wishes!!!

This is truly an amazing picture, especially the colors. I love the contrast of the river and plants on the plateaus!

Every time I see a picture of this place it makes me want to get out there yet I never have. On the other hand, I guess that it's nice to still have wonders to behold for some future time. Nice picture!

Yes, you should see my list of places to
go. If my list were a mountain, it would
be an impressive peak! Thanks for your
kind comments and contributions, Rob!
