Fall Color in Slough Creek
The aspens had mostly changed color by late September in the Slough Creek drainage in Yellowstone NP.

This picture is also a nice illustration of how conifers have been taking over former aspen areas as aspens have failed to clone new trees (presumably because of elk browsing).
