Ya know, the funny thing about this trip is...I was going to sleep in my car. Once I go to the TH and saw what perfect conditions I had, I packed my sleeping bag, pad, headlamp and cloths. No food but some granola and some water...oh and some whiskey. Thats it, I had all I needed to spend the night and started hiking. WOW my pack was light! Hiked a few miles and headed off the trail and found a great spot to watch the mountain. It was a perfect sunset and an even better sunrise.

Thanks Kris!

lcarreauGreat thinking ...

Voted 10/10

the whiskey, I mean. I DID the same thing once
... at Mount Adams. Back in the 80s, it was FUN doing things solo. Those were the days.

The headlamp was good. Thanks for the photos!
