Voted 10/10 | I was just wondering if you could tell me the
names of the wildflowers. They look very much
like what we call here (in the U.S.) 'Fireweed.'
Do you perhaps know of Jacek? | | Posted Mar 19, 2009 10:29 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thank You Icarreau what about this pink-purple plant in Tatras it is so called "wierzbówka" in polish (Lat. Epilobium spicatum or Epilobium angustifolium) I mean "willow-herb" in English .I don't know exatly if it is the same fireweed. Perhaps it is
Jacek? I know him from summitpost but not personally.

Voted 10/10 | Yes! Epilobium angustifolium = fireweed!
So, you have fireweed - very interesting!
(In Alaska, I observed "willow-herb" or
Epilobium latifolium growing out on the tundra. I must conclude that these
plants grow in very damp areas.
Dziekuje from Larry! | | Posted Mar 20, 2009 9:27 pm |
