It was the first week in August - also there were no mosquitos (something the cirque is supposed to famous for).

Thanks for submitting this image. What a beauty! I hiked Mitchell in August of 1994 from the other(easy) side, but surely this is the image I would show to make an impression. Such a brutal rock face contrasted with the foreground flower colors. This image has it all.
