Spring Mountains, Nevada. November 2007.

Bristlecone Pines only live in scattered, arid mountain regions of six western states of America. They grow at and just below the tree line.

Thanks IGO. We did the loop, up Big Falls and down the South Loop. I can't wait snow! There was just a little dusting of it in the basin above the falls.

Thank you. It was one of those times when I stood in front of the trees and thought " Should I take the picture of these? I have so many of bristlecones already". Later, it became my favorite from the entire day.
