On the traverse [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
On the traverse
Three roped climbers are passing the last part of the traverse at about 6300m. The photo lies a bit. It looks like it's almost flat, but this section is about 35 degrees. Wide angle lenses are not always the best for mountaineering photos.
The route disappears for some meters behind the ridge. Here you have to keep left, away from the crevasse on the right. Then head more right to avoid the second one. Stay clear of the left edge to avoid a potentially soft cornice edge.
