Kolob Creek - ZNP [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Kolob Creek - ZNP
Taking pictures in Kolob Canyon when the water level was this high was not an easy chore, but I did get a few. Although Buckskin Gulch is promoted as the worlds longest slot canyon, Kolob Canyon is probably longer and the walls are much more slotted. It's just that few go through here. This is where the boyscout leaders died a few years ago and the kids were stranded until rescued. It's quite the canyon! It was my first experience with water pounding on my head while trying to rappel. I could not see or breath! I can't say that part was all the much fun ;)
