Glen Coe is famed for its rain and generally foul weather, but this photo shows that the sun has been known to shine there. I had just had a fantastic week on Skye, and only stopped off in Glen Coe to break the journey at the Clachaig Inn. I was far too tired to do any climbing, and anyway it was ridiculously hot, so I fell asleep by the river instead while my dog fished for stones. Ironically, that same day my hometown had terrible floods!
