The fork [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The fork
looks just like a Y. Take the left fork as it heads up a drainage. When you reach this fork, you have less than a mile to go and over 1000 feet of elevation gain. If you want to hike Maple Mountain, take the right fork. Bear Flat is the area with a camp spot and big rock that you pass a little way lower down on the trail as you head for this fork. There is no sign or cairn to mark this fork so keep an eye out for it.
