This is a photo of Prominent Point and Finger Rock. The easiest ascent route of Prominent Point follows the base of Finger Rock Canyon past a narrow constriction. Before actually reaching the spire, turn left on moderately steep but open slopes and traverse beneath the high cliffs ringing the summit of Prominent Point. Once beyond these cliffs follow the obvious (brushy) gash up and to the right (East) of the highest rocks. Once you reach the ridge, turn left and scramble steeply to the Summit, shown at the extreme left in this photo.
