removing a screw
Photo taken from the left edge of the gulley. From here we would have had to downclimb to rejoin the main gully; instead we topped out via a mixed (mostly rock) route.

Sunday.

Odell's was in, as were Damnation (climbed by two parties) and Pinnacle Gully (somebody soloed it). Central was looking very thin. The Escape Hatch was judged to be a brushy mess; everybody walked off via Lion Head (summer route).

Since Monday morning the Whites have gotten two feet of snow, so conditions will be different now.

Thanks for the quick response. NEice is not a sight I've spent enough time on to know who the people there enough to trust their 'bragging' reports! So thanks again.
