The Smith Rock Group from the east. The twin Smith Summit spires (highest point on the formation not in the park) are indicated by 1 (West Summit) and 2 (East Summit). Only established route on the West Summit Spire is a short bolt ladder on the west side: West Smith Summit. To reach the East Summit you need to climb the 5-pitch, 5.8X East Wall Route called the "Oregon Death Tour" by A. Watts. 4 marks the Arrowpoint spire (the view of which from the east is mostly obstructed by 3) and 3 is the Platform. Both of these have simple, low 5th class climbs to their tops from the west side (December 2003).
