A very fitting name for a peak that begs to be photographed. At the same time the name of the lake is very confusing. Why would any packer be hungry here is beyond me. The place is less than three hours away from Sabrina Lake trailhead that has a store and a restaurant. Anyway, this spot is one of the more memorable places I visited in the Sierra. After seeing the peak I changed my plans to hike Haeckel and went looking for a way to summit Picture Peak.
