The last time I checked, these skis still fit! I don't use them much in Arizona; this was taken near Snoqualmie Pass in Washington state. As you can see by the expression on my face, I was having a blast!
Actually, I wasn't ready for the Winter Olympics in Calgary, but I did catch some incredible AIR!!!
If you have to vote, PLEASE vote on the HAT!!!!!!!!

Hasn't voted | Yes, then I would be like 95.9% of Sp-profiles:
Age: 5 years old/ Job: What's that!
Location: Siberia/ Interests? Eating!!!

| Dean | Hmmm | |
Voted 10/10 | Larry, that pic looks like it was taken about 1950 (heh heh) Quite stylish for those days.
I'm not sure about the belt buckle though, looks like a rodeo buckle and could attract an avalanche. Fun pic. | | Posted Jan 12, 2008 11:37 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, that belongs in the "Fun in the Mountains" album! Actually, it was a
"James Bond 007" belt buckle. When I
aim it right, it can bring down a
misguided missile, OR a hostile moose.
Whichever you prefer, Dean! | | Posted Jan 13, 2008 9:45 am |

Voted 10/10 | Hats and butterflies are OK as long as in a mountainous area :-) | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 5:36 am |
 | | lcarreau | Re: OK | |
Hasn't voted | That's right! If the butterflies are serving a
useful purpose, such as adorning the outside of
a cool ski hat, then they are acceptable. :-)
But, I think I need to shine up the buckle!!! | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 11:19 am |
| Deltaoperator17 | Oh my | |
Voted 10/10 | I am glad there is not fashion police in the mountains. Those are real skinny legs; if you are not careful you could hurt someone with the pom pom on top of your hat.
Heel up, down up down. . glide.
I miss Cross country skiing. I think I will go do some this weekend here in Idaho.

Hasn't voted | Yeah, I guess we're all suppose to be training
for the upcoming Olympics in Canada.
If the so-called "SP police" could find this
picture beneath all the piles of butterflies
and such, then they would probably give me a
citation for speeding down the mountain.
Best of luck on your outdoor endeavors, Steve!!! !!! | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 11:43 am |
| Deltaoperator17 | North Bend WA | |
Voted 10/10 | I have been to North Bend WA, right below Snoqualmie Pass. Played that golf course (pro am), I think one of my amateur partners was a Doctor who cross country skied about where this pic was taken.
Also spent time in this area when we staging SAR (volunteer support) for St Helens (circa 1980) We then went from people support to spreading bags of nitrogen fertilizer on the ground to help rebuild the foliage around St Helens blast zone. All while hanging from a safety line and harness out of a Huey.

Hasn't voted | GREAT - North Bend is a favorite destination
of mine. I fought a forest fire on the south
side of Mount Si in 1987. We used blasting caps
to construct a fire-line, to keep the flames from leaping over and spreading to another mountain. That was a real steep son-of-a-gun!!!
We also fought a small wildfire on the south
side of St Helens one time, and I was
disappointed (and whining) because we never
did have time to go to the summit.
Thank you for all your contributions to the
fascinating planet in which we live! | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 11:53 am |

Voted 10/10 | The Professional Golf contributions or the St Helens reforestation and volunteer support after the eruption?
LOL

am extremely easy to get along with! :-) | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 12:01 pm |

Voted 10/10 | We know that about you. When you gonna come tag a peak or hike in Idaho? Or maybe I need to come visit my Dad in Sun City West and we could go do something in the Zona? | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 12:03 pm |
 | | lcarreau | Re: North Bend WA | |
Hasn't voted | I haven't been up to Idaho in several years
now. I always longed to visit 'City of Rocks,' but never took the time to exit the highway at Twin Falls.
Hey, I happened to be looking out the window
at the sun shining in my face, and I sees
this little white golf ball descending
towards the desert's sand.
YOU the MAN! THAT was an extraordinary well shot "birdie putt," Steve !!! : ))))))))
Thanks for stopping by, man. | | Posted Feb 6, 2009 12:38 pm |
