Snow within the air...
With that amount of snow around the summit, Zugspitze looks higher than it actually is...

The strong winds (about 70km/h) made me struggle on the Sonnenberggrat (Ammergau Alps) but created that impressive view of Zugspitze.

The buildings on the summit are visible in the large version. Schneefernerkopf to the right of the photo. The lower mountain on the left is Hirschbühel (1935m/6348ft) behind the ridge of Felderkopf (1928m/6325ft).
