Dome Peak, in spite of its name, is a fairly complex mountain. These towers, if I have it right, are on the North ridge, dividing the Dana and Chickamin Glaciers. Dome Peak's summit is about a mile south of the towers here, and no part of the Dana Glacier reaches within a half-mile or so of the summit.

Thanks, Bob, for all these photos you've added to the Ptarmigan pages. They decorate the site nicely, and they help make SP the best guide to the Traverse available.

Good info Eric. And you're welcome. I have another shot from the Dana Glacier of the Dome Peak massif which shows the summit ridge and the SW peak. It was badly underexposed, however, so getting a decent scan has been a challenge. I'll keep trying - it can help understand the peak some.
