This is the southeast side...
This is the southeast side side of Vasiliki Tower. Around the corner at left is Burgundy Col. It is a fairly steep downclimb (on snow or bare ground in late season) from the col to permanent firn. Once sufficiently below the eastern buttress of Burgundy Spire (visible at left), the route turns sharply right to continue behind the camera. The Acropolis is at right center and the south end of Ares Tower is at extreme right. July 27, 1997.

No, same scanner as usual. I think it's just that this outing occurred on a particularly clear day (see the Liberty Bell photos I just put up).
