Garajonay as seen from the base of the Fortalleza climb. You have the whole route in front of you. First you follow the ridge from the hoses in front to the end of the canyon. You then traverse the upper slopes of this canyon until you reach the large spur to the right of the picture. You pass to the faraway side of that spur and make directly for the Garajonay summit, reaching a ridge (noticable just to the right of the centre of this shot). From there you pass (traverse) Garajonay on the western (close) side to climb it from the north. Dec 24th 2007
