Over the course of several million years,, "Red Rock Country" has risen high above the oceans to its present elevation of 4,500 ft. above sea level at the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau. Bald Eagles are winter residents, while full-time residents include black bears, mountain lions, ringtail cats, racoons, ravens, canyon wrens and Diamondback rattlesnakes.
