The base of Tikishla. [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The base of Tikishla.
That is the base of Tikshla. Perfect for setting up camp for an overnighter. If you look at the very bottom of that big bulge coming off the face, you can see a little dark spot. There is usually a large pool of water there, great for filling up. It was dried up when I did the Tanaina Lake hike, August 28, 2007.

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."   --Helen Keller
