Voted 10/10 | weekend, or same as before? Impressive if you can climb at Smith this much in January...a question I was actually looking for in evaluating the area....call me crazy, but actually paying for an airline ticket to head into the Siberian front stationed in Canada...called my partner this morning and said, you know, maybe we should switch this around! Red Rocks has been great for January. Climbing the easier trad stuff with my cold hands feels like a great way to spend most Januarys....I was blowing on my fingers at breakfast as I read the forecast in Banff...Stacy caught me subconsciously doing it...pretty funny..cheers Radek | | Posted Jan 21, 2008 1:30 pm |

Last two winter seasons have not been great for weather at Smith. We used to get out a lot more in winter (2005-06 season for example I think). However, it hasn't been all bad this year. We were there on Sat. and when this pic was taken it was probably in the mid 40's & mostly sunny. The following day it dumped 6" of snow there though :)
It does seem as though RR has been chillier this winter?
