We don't see that angle often. ;)

Better to see it from this angle rather than from the angle the fella in the litter is seeing it from. One good thing though is that he only has a few hundred feet more until he is warm and comfy in an ambulance :-)

Has anyone in a litter ever freaked out during a SAR?

No....generally the folks that are riding in the litter are just ready to get back to comfort and the needed medical attention; needless to say they are often times under pretty heavy medication..."morphine".

I always wondered what the EMT was giving
the patient. Was there a happy ending???

Yes. He was pretty sore for a month or so. 2nd degree burns to his hands, bruised lung and a compressed spine, but I think he is pretty much 100% now! I do know that next time he'll be sliding on 2 ropes if he has them.
