Splendid display of autumn colors beneath Mt. Maxwell and Cuatro Peak, late Sept. 2002. These peaks are in the Culebra range, a sub-range of the Sangres in southern Colorado. A good forest access road goes up the valley towards the range crest. Cuatro has a broad, easy, grassy east ridge, but Maxwell has a class 3 scrambling ridge above timber.
