requiem sending "Baby Steps"

"on the way up the Horsetail Falls trail, mid-November 2007, we stopped and set up a top rope. as far as i know, this is a new top roping route (no webbing scars on the tree anchor), so i named it "Baby Steps." a low angled slab having many many little ledges and a few shallow flaring cracks, mostly inhabited by plants, make this an easy and fun climb (~5.6). "Happy Ledge," a nice break for calves, is located about 3/5 of the way up.

getting up to the base of the wall and up to the anchor is a Class 3 scramble. left goes South towards HWY 50, and right goes North up Horsetail Falls toward Desolation Valley."
