Voted 10/10 | It's good to see climbers in action. Looks like a good rock-face for training.
cheers

Hasn't voted | There are two rocks - one above is of 900 meters fresh air and the lower one - the one my mates stand on - some 10 meters high :) It was during our basic climbing course - here we trained rappeling. We saw 4 climbers entering the wall above ... They must have had a horrendous night up there in the wall... Fortunately nobody was hurt, as I mentioned before. Cheers Tomas :) | | Posted Feb 2, 2008 8:44 am |
| Diveria | Hey Thomas... | |
Voted 10/10 | Kežmarský štít looks a lot like a twin of Pic Sans Nom, in the Ecrins range, try to take a look at these:

PS: another great shot! thanks for sharing it with us! | | Posted Feb 9, 2008 2:53 pm |

Hasn't voted | You must spend a night there in a chalet some hundreds of meters away from me. The chalet is wreathed by an unbelievable natural amphitheatre and this wall is only a part of that chain of mountains above the chalet.
Pic Sans Nom seems very interesting, especially its wild left ridge. Cheers Tomas :) | | Posted Feb 9, 2008 8:01 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Yeah I have given a look to the "chalet", great place! I hope someday I can make a journey on the high Tatras, the most interesting thing in SP is that one can discover a lot of mountains and places!
Thanks for your informations!
Cheers Marco. | | Posted Feb 10, 2008 10:36 am |

Hasn't voted | Winter is so amazing in mountains! I absolutely adore winter Tatras. I hope I will adore it more intimately - by climbing! Cheers Tomas :) | | Posted Feb 13, 2008 8:04 am |
| lcarreau | You guys are awesome! | |
Voted 10/10 | In America, 'awesome' means very GREAT!
Just a suggestion ... why don't the Italians,
Polish and Slovakians ALL come together for
a big PARTY in the chalet! You can all get
to know each other BETTER that way! Like
you have already said: "In the mountains,
everybody are FRIENDS!" Cheers, Larry!!!

Hasn't voted | Two left guys are actually beautiful young ladies :) OK, I'm completely with you in this idea. Every meeting in our wonderful mountains is welcomed! Cheers Tomas :) | | Posted Feb 23, 2008 1:49 pm |
 | | lcarreau | Yes... | |
Voted 10/10 | This is a winter climbing class in the
mountains! It is very difficult for me to
identify the climbers. I am very glad to hear
there are many women climbers! When I was
a young man, I never see women climbers ...
except for the popular peaks like Mount Hood and Mount Rainier. The world has changed a
lot in the last 25 years. Cheers, Larry :))! | | Posted Feb 23, 2008 8:06 pm |

Hasn't voted | You're right. Times has changed. Many girls are interested in mountaineering compared to the past. But generally, very few people around these wonderful mountains are interested in mountaineering. Very few of my friends has ever been on a hike in Tatras. And we live just 30 kilometers away and see them every day from our windows and streets... Shame on us! | | Posted Feb 23, 2008 11:29 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Dear Larry
There were wonderful women in alpinist's world in the past. For example Polish alpinists-Wanda Rutkiewicz,Halina Syrokomska-Kruger,Anna Czerwinska-still alives
-Wanda was third woman in the world on M.Everest-1978,but first Polish
-she was leading first woman's team in the world on Nanga Parbat-1985
-Wanda was first woman in the world on K2-1986
-she was a member of many woman's mountain trips.I admire her..
Nowadays:
Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner,Nives Meroi,Kinga Baranowska
Climbing girls are special, extraordinary, independent, they have strong characters in their life. They make mountaineering more beautiful

Voted 10/10 | I agree with that, Ivona. The Germans and
Polish have always been strong in their
mountaineering skills. The Europeans have
really turned mountain climbing into an
'art form.' The proof is on the Summitpost
site! I can only hope that the tradition
continues, long after my time has passed by
on this remarkable planet. Best Regards...

Hasn't voted | Hi Ivona and Larry, I appreciate and admire women climbing and there are many of them among us. I'm tired of writing, I should rather work or go to the mountains ... maybe together with you - my summitpost friends. Cheers Tomas :) | | Posted Feb 27, 2008 4:13 pm |
