Great picture and I'm sure there's an interesting story that comes with it.

Please bring me up-to-date. What is JPL??
Nice cat! Did you have to call animal control
or the county mounties? I know there have
been sightings in Flagstaff and Salt Lake City, but it's best to capture one on camera so you have PROOF of the sighting. I know a
man here in central AZ who killed one with
his bow/arrow. It was in the wilds. I'm not
advocating a confrontation, I just hope this
cat doesn't get itself into trouble. THANKS!

Jet Propulsion Laboratory..Home of the Mars Explorer and other NASA space missions. The photo was taken by a JPL Engineer. Sightings are not uncommon in the Pasadena/Altadena/La Canada/La Crescenta Foothills. Some neighborhoods have Cat warning signs. Usually the cats retreat back up in the mountains long before animal control arrives. The local cats are much more stealthy than the local bears who like swimming in pools from time to time.

Sounds like a give and take relationship
with your local cats. Here in AZ, it's not
surprising to see hounds with radio collars,
and horsemen going by tracking down the illusive critters. Have a nice week, John!!

I had prints in my driveway a few weeks ago.
They are common in our neighborhood.

My goal is to capture a shot, and live to tell about it! :0)
